Oh my stars and garters...looks like people really liked those Sailor Moon sprites! Now I only wish I had the same for the other Scouts, as that would be fun indeed. Though I'm hesitant a bit when I think of building Sailor Pluto...I'd run out of pink blocks quick trying to put together those mile-long legs of hers!

Funny thing is, I got almost 50 hits tonight alone, from posting those last two Sailor Scouts and the new comic.

I'm not quite sure who I'll build next. I just got a sweet sprite set of Bowser from Super Mario Bros. 3, plus I still have a lot of enemy sprites from the Zelda games to do one of these days. Obviously I still want to do more of the larger Mega Man enemies (and more of the small ones too LOL), plus those Japanese Beast Wars ones...

You might've noticed, I've been posting Pixel Blocks pictures like crazy...I'm "somewhat" addicted to using them...I just get annoyed when I'm building a sprite and end up just a few blocks short. So, I broke down and ordered a set of 200 black blocks, so I can finally do bigger sprites, like SD Gundam and Japanese Beast Wars!

I am going to be getting back to the comic soon enough...I've just been trying to get some DVD watching and video game playing done. I have lots of ideas, plus some for other pictures, so just stay tuned...

Oh, and I will continue making Pixel Blocks sculptures.....mwa ha ha ha!!!

As y'all might have noticed, my last few Deviations have been video game sprite sculptures made with Pixel Blocks. I intend to be playing with these suckers for a while, but I will also continue doing my regular art. The picture I'm working on now is bigger than most I've done before, so it might take a while to color and touch up and such.

While those Final Fantasy sprites turned out nice, I was a few pieces short for certain characters...in this case, the Monk. I tried tackling some sprites from Beast Wars Duel, a GameBoy Color game from Japan, but ran out of black pieces...and this is after getting 125 extras in an additional set! I was planning on doing some recoloring, to make the black and white (plus one color per character) sprites more show/toy accurate. Even if I did so, I wouldn't have enough pieces with my current sets.

So, I'm going to tackle some classic Nintendo characters, doing some recoloring as needed, seeing as most old sprites were about three or four colors each.

I also am planning on trying out a regular (digital) Pixel ID, for which I found a sprite set from the awesome River City Ransom to blow up and color

I occasionally do these surveys on MySpace. I saw my DA Friend Ryu-chan put this up in her journal and I couldn't help but fill it out for myself. Feel free to empathize and/or see how pathetic I am...

Wow...2500 Hits...this is pretty cool!

I know I haven't been Deviating much, but this should change soon. I intend to work on the comic strip, though I am going to be starting over. Again. I've had some trouble figuring out what exactly I want to do with the strip. Reading some other webcomics have helped me, luckily. I'm going to be using elements from both former strips ("MonkeyMonkeyGoGo AND Go Pinkle Go) as the basis for MonkeyGo!, which is the intended name of this new comic, and yes is the name of the toy store from the original strip. Here's hoping it works out!

Pinkle, the actual plush that I commissioned, is complete! And she's adorable...I'm just waiting for her to arrive now! Once I get her, expect at least one photo for a DeviantID, probably with me reading a book to my little monkey while seated in my chair of evil!!!
